* 3 good things about Shizuka's class *
1. Sharing videos of each class
With parents consent, we record videos for every classes every time, and share with the parents. One main purpose of this is to give an opportunity to the child and the parent to communicate, and of course to review what they learn in the class. No matter how much we know their days at the class, it is very important for children to know that their parents deeply acknowledge their efforts in the class.The feeling of "My mom and dad understand me the best" is the most important for childrens' confidence, and it would become their strength in the future.
2. Communicate well with the parents
Children will have their homework after each class, and we will give different learning materials for every child , depend on his/her preference. After each class, we encourage to have a small conversation with parents, to share what their child did in the class. We also provide details of each child's homework with their parents through emails, as the purpose/procedure of the homework may be unclear. The email will also provide a further details about the child's day.
3. Provide a comfortable place for child with support needs.
I cannot imagine how much parents would be worried about their child when he/she have developmental delays. I hope we can support them as much as we could, with different learnining materials and emotional supports. In the future, I am also considering to open the exclusive class for the children to offer extra supports.
